June arrives on barefoot dawns,
With jasmine air and golden lawns.
Vineyards wake in emerald light,
Long days linger into night.
Children chase the firefly glow,
Warm winds teach the roses grow.
Summer whispers through each tree,
Calling hearts to wander free,
While sunsets paint the western sky
Where swallows dance and dreamers sigh.
The Post will celebrate the beginning of Summer with a Steak BBQ on Wednesday May 10, 2026. Social hour 1800. Dinner to fallow at 1900. The menu will be a steak BBQ, accompanied by Flash’s favorite mashed potatoes, all carefully prepared and served by our CIA chefs, Jay Avila & George Nickas. Dinner will be $30.00, which is a deal given the price of beef.

My sincere gratitude to Flash Flood for his dedication in organizing our Memorial Day event. And a special thanks to our rifle squad: Jack Oliver, Ron Cia, Nick Coy, John Muhlner, Adam Padavic, John Urbanik, Paul Manzer. An acknowledgement also needs to be extended to the Odd Fellows Lodge for taking over the responsibility for our American Flags posted on Main Street.
As this is my last Post newsletter, I wish to thank each of you for the Honor!
